A Clinical Trial of Biostim^(¢ç) in the Treatment of Recurrent Infectious Otolaryngologic Diseases of the Children



Abstract
The clinical effect of Biostim a specific and non-specific immunostimulant, on 30 children with recurrent infectious otolaryngologic diseases was studied.
Biostim¢ç was administered 3 times over 3 months with 8 day treatment 3 weeks interval and observed for another 3 months. The results are as follows
1. Clinical symptoms such as rhinorrhea, nasal obstruction, hearing loss and fever were significantly improved.
2. After 6 month from Biostim therapy, 18 cases (72%) show efficacy above moderate degree.
3. No side effects were observed during follow up period.
4. It was suggested that long term study is needed on greater number of patients.
